Thank you to my friends for your positive support and wishes during this tragic time in my sons' life.

It's a sad situation.....their 18 year old friend was going to this residence with a 16 year old, to 'rob' the occupant. The story is that the younger brother who lived there was supposed to have 'robbed' the 16 year old previously, and he was going in to get back what he felt belonged to him. When Gage (the 18 year old) tried kicking in the door, the older brother (age 20) opened the door and fatally shot Gage, then the 16 year old shot the guy who shot Gage.  The 20 year old's name was Roland.....the wounds to his face were so extensive that they are waiting on the Coroner's Report for a 'positive identification'. The younger brother, who evidently this retribution was aimed at, was not home at the time.

The 16 year old is now being charged with TWO counts of murder because according to the law, if someone dies while you are in the process of committing a Felony, then you can be charged for the death.....regardless if the death was by your hands or not. At the time he is being charged as a juvenile, but the news reports say that they can motion for him to be tried as an adult.

Teens with guns.....I just think it is so sad that today's youth don't realize what a dangerous game they are playing when they have a loaded weapon in their hands.
